Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Javad Salehi Fadardi, PhD collects, uses, and protects personal information through leapcoaching.org.
An important distinction
Coaching is not health care. The information you share here is not a medical record, is not protected health information under HIPAA, and is not covered by therapist-client or doctor-patient confidentiality. This site and this practice do not provide therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or crisis intervention.
Information is nonetheless treated as confidential and handled with care, as described below.
What is collected
When you use the contact form. Your first name, last name, email address, and the content of your message.
When you book an appointment. Booking is handled through Google Calendar’s appointment scheduling. Google collects your name, email address, and any details you add when booking, and processes that information under Google’s own privacy policy.
When you complete the new client intake form. The intake form is hosted by Jotform. The information you enter is stored by Jotform and made available to Javad Salehi Fadardi, PhD. Do not enter information you are not comfortable sharing.
Automatically, when you visit. This site runs on Squarespace, which records standard technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, and time on site. Squarespace also uses cookies, described below.
Spam protection. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage signals to distinguish people from automated traffic, subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms.
What is not collected
No payment card details are collected through this website. No special category data (health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, sexual orientation, or political opinion) is requested by any form on this site. If you volunteer such information in a free-text field, it is handled under this policy, but you are asked not to.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to your message or question; to schedule, confirm, and deliver coaching sessions; to understand what you are looking for before an introductory conversation; to keep basic records of the coaching relationship; and to maintain, secure, and improve the website.
Your information is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no advertising on this site.
Legal bases for processing (UK and EU visitors)
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, processing is carried out on these bases: consent for non-essential cookies and for any optional information you choose to provide; performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one, for scheduling and delivering coaching; and legitimate interests for site security, spam prevention, and basic analytics, balanced against your rights.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
Service providers
Personal information is processed by the following providers, each under its own privacy terms: Squarespace, for website hosting, the contact form, and analytics; Google (Calendar and reCAPTCHA), for appointment booking and spam protection; and Jotform, for the new client intake form.
These providers process information on instruction and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
International transfers
Javad Salehi Fadardi, PhD is based in California, United States, and the service providers listed above process data in the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your information will be transferred outside your jurisdiction. These transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
How long information is kept
Contact form messages that do not lead to a coaching relationship are deleted after 12 months, or sooner on request. Records for people who become clients are kept for 3 years after the last session, or deleted sooner on request. Website analytics are retained by Squarespace under its own schedule.
You can request deletion of your information at any time using the contact form.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA. You have the right to access your information, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If you are a California resident. You have the right under the CCPA and CPRA to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to request correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Personal information is not sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out of sale is required.

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and non-essential cookies for analytics. A cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies before they are placed. You can change your choice at any time through the banner or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect your information, including encrypted connections and reputable hosted providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children
This site and these services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Information is not knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please use the contact form and it will be deleted.
Changes
This policy may be updated. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.
